Biography Rupini (also Roopini and Rubini) was a South Indian actress who worked in the late 1980s and early 1990s.She acted in a Tamil and Malayalam films opposite the stars including Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan,Vijayakanth, Mohan, Mammootty, and Mohanlal.Rupini, originally from Mumbai, moved to the south to act in films. She did act in a few Hindi movies, doing character roles under her real name: Komal Mahuvakar.
