| Biography: Pyarelal was born on September 3, 1940. His father Pt. Ramprasad Sharma was a renowned trumpeter. Pyarelal took basic lessons of music from father Pt. Ramprasad Sharma. Later he learnt violin from a Goan, Anthony Gonsalves. At the age of eight, he started learning violin. Pyarelal was used to practice it for 8 to 12 hours a day. Later he started playing violin at studios like Ranjit Studios at the age of 12, to solve the financial problems of his family. Pyarelal later gave tribute to his teacher Gonsalves, by using his name for Amitabh Bachchan's character in film Amar Akbar Anthony. Music for the film was given by Laxmikant-Pyarelal. Pyarelal was used play cricket with other people after working in studio. During one of such play, Laxmikant came there and asked that whether he also could join them. All the people accepted him in the play and this is how Laxmikant and Pyarelal met to each other. |
